Spare Time Child Care Society was founded in 1979 with a simple but meaningful goal: to create a safe and caring place where children could learn, play, and grow outside of school hours. What began as a response to a community need has grown into a trusted organization serving families across Vancouver.
For over 40 years, we’ve been proud to support children and families by offering enriching, affordable, and high-quality care. Our programs are thoughtfully planned to spark curiosity, build social skills, and encourage independence in a warm and welcoming environment. Each of our centres reflects the unique community it serves while sharing the same commitment to children’s well-being.
Today, we offer preschool, before and after school care, and seasonal camps for children aged 5 to 13. We are honoured to be part of so many children’s lives, helping create joyful memories, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of belonging year after year.
